Shiv Nadar University B.Tech Admission Process
The Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test (SNUSAT) is an entrance exam for undergraduate admissions at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR. Conducted as a home-proctored online test, SNUSAT evaluates candidates’ critical thinking, logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude.
For students applying for B.Tech and BS Computer Science programs, an additional Academic Proficiency Test (APT) is mandatory to assess their Mathematics and Physics knowledge.
Admission Cycles & Exam Process
The SNUSAT and APT exams will be conducted in six admission phases, from January 2025 to July 2025. Candidates opting for the SNUSAT admission pathway will gain access to sample questions on their application dashboard after completing the payment process.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Programs
Academic Requirements:
Candidates must have scored a minimum of 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Class 12 (10+2) exams.
Admission Process: Multiple Routes
Shiv Nadar University provides five pathways for B.Tech admissions:
- JEE Mains (2024 or 2025) – High scorers may receive direct admission based on their JEE Main scores. The university may conduct interviews if needed.
- SNUSAT + APT – Applicants can take the Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test (SNUSAT), and for B.Tech programs, they must also appear for the Academic Proficiency Test (APT).
- College Board SAT + Interview – Candidates with valid SAT scores can apply and may be required to attend an interview.
- ACT + Interview – Students with valid ACT scores can apply and might need to participate in an interview.
- CUET 2025 + Interview – Applicants may apply via Common University Entrance Test (CUET) followed by an interview.
SNUSAT & APT Exam Details
SNUSAT Duration: 2 hours
Sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Abstract Reasoning, and an Essay
APT (for Engineering Applicants): Two subject tests in Mathematics and Physics (45 minutes each)
Essay: Must be typed on the computer within the allotted time
Negative Marking: No negative marking for incorrect answers
