LAST-MINUTE TIPS FOR IPMAT EXAM

IPMAT TEST DAY LAST-MINUTE ADVICE

You may perform well on the test and stay motivated if you are upbeat and maintain your composure. Any sense of doom or anxiety before the IPMAT exam day, fearing preparation issues, exam room strategy issues, or unforeseen technology difficulties, is uncalled for and unwarranted. You must grab the bull by the horns. Be driven and confident; if you falter at the last minute, the situation might turn against you.

NO SLEEPLESS NIGHT BEFORE TEST DAY

The secret to passing the IPMAT is to avoid restless nights before the exam. Sleep is crucial before the 4-5 IPMAT exam. Many top performers on the IPMAT not only get a full night’s sleep three to four days before the test but also take mocks up to one or two days before the test.

Before the exam, 7 hours of sleep are recommended. The significance of a rested body and mind on exam day cannot be overstated. So, getting 7-8 hours of sleep is advised, having a small breakfast or supper an hour before the exam, and drinking enough water throughout the test.

DOWNLOAD YOUR IPMAT ADMIT CARD AND COLLECT THE NECESSARY PAPERWORK.

Gather and arrange all the materials needed for the exam day at least one or two days before. The crucial paperwork includes

At the test centre, you must have a physical duplicate of your IPM AT admit card that has been appropriately signed and has your photo pasted on it.
Two pieces of identification are permitted within the testing facility: the admit card (which must be duly signed and bear a photo), the original photo ID card, plus one self-attested photocopy.

KEY THINGS TO REMEMBER FOR TEST DAY

Attend the Testing Facility the Day Before the Exam: Determine the precise location of the test site at least one day before the IPMAT exam day to assess travel times and transportation options.
Arrive Early: Arrive at the testing location early on test day.
Before the test, use the lavatory: Use the lavatory before entering the testing room since you might need more time and cannot exit during the exam.
Give Your Local Guardian Your Phone: Give your guardian who lives close by your phone instead of taking it to the exam centre so they may be called in case of emergency.

DON’TS FOR THE IPMAT TEST DAY

Do not wear any jewellery or other metal-containing objects in the testing room.
Phones, Smart Watches, and Other Electronic Devices Are Not Allowed: Mobile phones and other electronic devices, including Smart watches and calculators, ARE NOT PERMITTED within the testing facility.

No Stationery in the Testing Room: Pens, pencils, and paper are prohibited in the testing facility. The applicants will be given a rough pad/sheet and a pen for rough work, which must be returned after the test.

LAST-MINUTE EXAM STRATEGIES FOR THE IPMAT

BE IN YOUR PEAK PERFORMANCE STATE

Top IPMAT scorers and experts advise being at your peak performance mode. Being in your best performance state is the key to a successful IPMAT day. This condition may be attained by eating adequately, staying awake, and maintaining mental clarity. Have a small meal before the exam, get a good night’s sleep the night before, and be sufficiently confident on test day to prevent anxiety.

TAKE THE IPMAT WITHOUT STRESS: APPROACH IT LIKE A PRACTICE EXAM

Top scorers on the IPMAT advise taking the exam like any other aptitude test. Keep telling yourself that this is only an aptitude exam and that all you need to do is perform to the best of your ability without having a panic attack. You must be doing well on your mock exams. Try to boost your confidence by considering your percentile in the practice exams.

Taking many mock exams aims to familiarise you with the format so that the final test seems like any other mock. Focus on reviewing subjects and analysing your previously tried mock exams within the last week.

PREPARE AHEAD FOR THE IPMAT EXAM

You should prepare your test-taking approach as you know the IPMAT exam pattern, format, and curriculum. Be very calm and confident on the day of the test. Plan how you would try the various stages. Consider completing all of the RCs in the VA part before moving on to the grammar, vocabulary, para jumble, and other problems, or the opposite. Try the simple questions in QA first, then the challenging ones.

TO SUM UP

  • Revision of the curriculum: Review the whole syllabus one final time to ensure that all pertinent material has been covered.
  • Practice before exams to acquire a sense of the test format, the kinds of questions that will be asked, and the degree of difficulty. You’ll be able to manage your time throughout the test better if you do this.
  • Time management is essential in any test, so be aware of the time allotted for each session and plan your time appropriately.
  • Feeling worried before a test is routine, but strive to maintain your composure and concentration. Before the exam, relax your body and mind by taking deep breaths, stretching, or meditating.
  • Pay close attention to the directions: Before beginning the exam, read the instructions thoroughly. This can help you prevent foolish errors and confusion throughout the exam.
  • Start with the simple questions. You’ll gain confidence and save time by doing this.
  • Don’t freak out: If you encounter a challenging question, don’t. Go to the next question and, if you have time, return to it later.
  • Check your answers again before submitting your paper. Ensure that you have answered all the questions and made no apparent errors.
  • Positivity may assist you in performing well on the exam. Maintain your self-assurance and faith in yourself.
  • You may do well and keep your motivation up if you stay happy and relaxed during the exam. Any pessimism or anxiety resulting from concerns over preparation, test-taking strategies, or unforeseen technological difficulties on the day of the IPMAT exam is unjustified and improper. Maintain your drive and self-assurance; any lapse at the final minute might go against you.
