IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak administer the IPMAT test to select students for the 5-year integrated management training programme. The Integrated Program in Management offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Now, only two IIMs are giving the program’s IPMAT test. Each institution holds distinct exams for the course.
A five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) was first offered by IIM Indore in 2011, and IIM Rohtak followed suit in 2019. Separate entrance tests are given for IIM Rohtak and IIM Indore. The programme has earned accreditation from the London Association of MBAs (4th and 5th Year).

Suggestions for Preparing for the IPMAT’s Quantitative Ability Section
Content comes first, then grammar: Your second concern for preparation should be grammar. Unfortunately, the internet has made bad grammar acceptable. Using proper grammar can help you create a better essay and do better than native English speakers and writers. Preserve your tenses, abstain from overusing auxiliary verbs, favour the active voice over the passive, and, most importantly, write to practise grammar subjects. Avoid using slang, incomplete phrases, extended sayings, etc., in your response to avoid losing points. Verify a sentence once you’ve finished writing it.
Make sure your response is readable by considering the question before writing it. To make your response easier to read, use typographic tricks. Be mindful of the lines’ length as you assemble the answer. Shorter sentences increase the text’s overall relevance and readability. Your language would convey how you understood the analysis of the argument. Thus, make sure that each sentence is as closely related to the proposed argument as is practical. Be cautious about providing your analysis in an easy-to-understand manner.
Suggestions for WAT Preparation
Read and read.
One has to have a solid knowledge base to study for the written ability exam and be ready to write on any subject. That is only possible if one reads several IPMAT books and gathers a tonne of data. The test subjects range, for instance, from current affairs to something general or abstract. If a person comprehends the material, they will undoubtedly do well on the test since they won’t have anything to write about. Hence, invest a lot of time in studying and reading.
Credibility
Don’t write only to lengthen your response. For instance, some people include many personal experiences in their comments. Remember that these questions frequently pertain to the academic world. Thus, the candidate must write in a certain way. Hence, if your subject requires it, give examples from reliable sources. You can utilise journals, newspapers, and other scholarly publications as sources. But, if your subject requires a personal example, record it.
Structure and Organize
You may maintain a flow and coherence in your writing by devoting around 2 minutes to organising and organising your information. Your text will reflect your disorganised thoughts, creating a negative impression. Hence, arrange your thoughts before writing them down.
Develop Your Writing
The saying “practice makes perfect” is true. The adage is accurate and will enable you to travel a great distance. Try writing on a range of topics to improve your writing skills. Practice will help you in a variety of ways. After writing a lot, for instance, you will know how to approach answering the topic, saving you time and enabling you to write clearly and coherently.
Management of time
As there is a time limit on this test, effective time management is essential. Your chances of being nominated will be increased if you present strong arguments within the allotted period. Time management and good material organisation are essential. Assure prompt delivery of the best materials. Steer clear of hedging your bets and focus on the issue at hand.
